Ishii Takashi returns to filmmaking after three years with two releases in the same year. The first of the two films, Hello, My Dolly Girlfriend is a dark, erotic fantasy about a loner who finds salvation in a mannequin who miraculously comes to life. Though the story is similar to films like Air Doll, Ishii doesn't shy away from exploring the primal and sexual aspect of the story with explicit sex scenes and graphic violence.
